Pick up car rental in Athens. Sightsee 5th-century Acropolis citadel (10 min drive): Parthenon (dedicated to Athena) & Temple of Erechtheion (classical architecture). Wander to Monastiraki flea market (5-10 min drive) to browse stalls, hunt for souvenirs, and stop at a café for a drink/atmosphere.

Breakfast at hotel. Mythology tour (10-20 min drive to Temple of Olympian Zeus; hear myths of Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, Dionysus): Acropolis/Parthenon, Kerameikos Cemetery, Roman Agora.
